Corporations matters

Corporations matters include any proceedings or applications pursuant to or in respect of any matter relating to the  Corporations Act 2001 (Cth),the  Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth),the  Cross-Border Insolvency Act 2008 (Cth)or the  Supreme Court (Corporations) Rules 1999 and any proceedings or applications relating to other incorporated bodies such as co-operatives and incorporated associations.

Practice Note

Corporations matters commenced in the Supreme Court are placed in the Corporations List, which operates in accordance with the Practice Note SC Gen 4 - Corporations List. This section of the website supplements the provisions of this Practice Note to help legal practitioners and parties understand how the List operates.

Practitioners should consult the Daily Lists to ascertain hearing arrangements for cases set down in the Corporations List.

Examinations will commence at 11:00 am and conclude at 4:00 pm. The total time for each listing is 4 hours per day.
