New Practice Note SC CL 12 - Proceedings under the Crimes (High Risk Offenders) Act 2006, the Terrorism (High Risk Offenders) Act 2017, Mental Health & Cognitive Impairment Forensic Provisions Act 2020 and Division 105A of the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth)

 

On 1 November 2023 the Chief Justice issued Practice Note SC CL 12 – Proceedings under the Crimes (High Risk Offenders) Act 2006, the Terrorism (High Risk Offenders) Act 2017, Mental Health & Cognitive Impairment Forensic Provisions Act 2020 and Division 105A of the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth), with a commencement date of 3 November 2023

The new Practice Note sets out the procedure for the case management of matters brought under various legislation relating to high-risk offenders and where supervision orders are sought.
